Tuesday – All’s well so far…

The events with Felicity last week were a fantastic success! Lots of inspirational thoughts and ideas…

There’s lots more going on this week, including a debate on wind power and a Primary school Science Challenge. All kindly supported by EDF and London Array.

And topically, London Array have now officially become the world’s largest offshore wind farm. Massive congratulations to them!

World-famous polar explorer, meteorologist, travel writer, film maker and Thanet local Felicity Aston will be giving a talk thisĀ Thursday (7th March) evening:

Mr William F Readdy – Former NASA astronaut with over 600 hours experience actually in space and a huge amount of experience with the space shuttle and who was US Navy test pilot before joining NASA and who now works with Richard Branson on Virgin Galactic amongst other very interesting projects… The list goes on!

He will be joining us tonight at 5.10pm for a live internet link-up as part of our Science and Engineering week activities and we’re really lucky to be able to talk to such an interesting and important man!
