I spent most of my morning watching Andy Murray playing some really great tennis only to get beaten by the unstoppable Roger Federer. No matter what Andy did it seemed like he couldn’t overcome Federer and I think I know why…That’s right, Federer’s hi-tech racket gave him an unnatural advantage. It’s reenforced with carbon nanotubes, which make it incredibly light and super strong. Bah!
Elsewhere in science… The brains at Lawrence Livermore national laboratory in the US of A have come a step closer to successfully generating energy from nuclear fusion. Here’s a clip from Horizon about the experiment
