A trigonal bipyramidal molecule

L6 CHE 1 – We finished the notes for unit 2.1, remember how to count the pairs of electrons and decide on shapes and remember the different shapes we saw ? Prep was to finish the worksheet on 2.1 for Thursday. You can find the notes from today’s lesson here.

5 PHY 1 – We finished P5d,  saw how momentum is conserved and found out how safety features prevent injuries from car crashes. The prep was to attempt Qs 1-5 on page 162.

5 CHE 2 – We did a practical to find the empirical formula of magnesium oxide. Remember how to calculate an empirical formula. Prep was to finish the calculations and to research a brief report on electrolysis.

    There is gold in the seawater but it is not enough to get rich,
    Kelly Kenison-Falkner and John Edmond foundd that in the Atlantic and north Pacific there is just 1 gram of gold for every 100 million tonnes of sea water.
    Many people have tried to make money from this. But as analytical techniques have improved the ammount of gold in the oceans is estimated less as before There may indeed be gold in the oceans, but not enough to make anyone rich.
